The main projects that were ultimately proposed at the presentation include: ▲Youth Wellness Program ▲Gwangmyeong-style Youth Physical Health Recovery Platform ▲Programs for Isolated Youth ▲Gwangmyeong AI Creator Development Support Project ▲Ieum Youth ▲Youth Mentor-Mentee Program, among others.
This presentation marked the final stage of the 'Youth Deliberative Budget Discussion,' in which young people directly propose policies and determine their priorities. Since March, participants have received education on the city's policy direction, the concepts of policies and ordinances, and the role of legislative bodies. They then identified key issues and drafted policy proposals.
The policy proposals presented on this day were reviewed in advance through consultations with relevant departments. The participants directly evaluated the proposals based on criteria such as feasibility and creativity, and determined the priority of each project accordingly.
Mayor Park Seungwon of Gwangmyeong City stated, "The process in which young people propose, discuss, and create policies themselves is a healthy practice of democracy," adding, "We will continue to communicate and provide support so that the voices of youth can be more fully reflected in city administration."
