The Namyangju City Council in Gyeonggi Province, chaired by Jo Sungdae, attended the 75th anniversary commemoration ceremony of the June 25·War held at Dasan Hall in City Hall on the 25th, honoring the noble spirit of sacrifice of the patriotic martyrs and expressing gratitude for the sacrifices of the veterans.

Approximately 400 people attended the event, including Jo Sungdae, chairman of the Namyangju City Council, council members, Vice Mayor Hong Jisun and senior officials, June 25·War veterans and their families, as well as heads of veterans and security organizations.
The ceremony began with the screening of the interview video "I Defended My Country That Day," featuring heroes of the June 25·War. It continued with a musical performance titled "June 25·That Day," a patriotic ceremony and a moment of silence for the fallen patriots and patriotic martyrs, commemorative speeches and the awarding of commendations to meritorious individuals, a commemorative performance by the Ma-eumsori Choir, and the singing of the June 25·War song.
In his congratulatory address, Chairman Jo expressed, "I extend my deepest gratitude and respect to all the veterans who risked their lives to defend our country. Thanks to your sacrifice and dedication, the Republic of Korea exists today, and we are able to enjoy a free and prosperous daily life." He added, "We must not forget that today's peace is not something that was simply given to us, but a precious outcome protected by the blood and sweat of our predecessors."
He went on to say, "I am deeply grateful for the hard work of all those involved, including Chairman Shin Wonsik of the June 25·War Veterans Association. The city council will continue its efforts to improve the quality of life and ensure an honorable life for the veterans, and we will always stand together with respect and gratitude, carrying on the noble spirit of the veterans."
