The remodeling project for Geumho Byeoksan Apartment in Seongdong-gu involves vertical and horizontal expansion of the existing 1,707-unit apartment complex located at 633 Geumho 1-ga. According to the plan, the apartment will be reborn as a complex with five basement levels and 24 above-ground floors, totaling 1,963 units. The additional supply created through remodeling amounts to 256 units. The complex will also include various welfare facilities.

In addition to improving surrounding infrastructure, the project will address elevation differences within the complex. Open parking lots, senior community centers, and small libraries will be established as shared facilities for the local community, creating a space for residents to interact. Furthermore, the ground-level areas, previously dominated by parking, will be redesigned as pedestrian-friendly walkways.

The Geumho Byeoksan Apartment remodeling project is scheduled to begin construction in June 2026, followed by sales in September of the same year, with completion targeted for June 2031.

A Seoul City official stated, "Once the project is completed, it is expected to not only improve the residential environment of the complex but also contribute to revitalizing the community and establishing a foundation for coexistence within the local area. We anticipate that this project will become a model case for remodeling aging multi-family housing and have a positive impact on the quality of life for local residents."
