Seniors Enjoy Stargazing at Gwangju Science Museum: "Now I Have Stories to Share with My Grandchildren"

On June 24, the National Gwangju Science Museum invited about 30 elderly participants from the Kumho Lifelong Education Center, operated by the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, to hold the "2nd Science to Share with Grandchildren" event. This program aims to expand lifelong learning opportunities for the elderly and promote intergenerational communication. It is operated in cooperation with the Gwangju Lifelong Education Promotion Agency and targets seniors from local literacy education institutions.

Guided by a science commentator, the elderly participants watched a dance robot performance and a science experiment show, then toured the permanent exhibition hall to experience various exhibits. At the planetarium, they enjoyed a dome video and observed constellations. They also participated in a 3D pen crafting activity and had lunch together. The participants shared their impressions, saying, "I didn't know the science museum could be this fun," and "I'm happy to have something new to talk about with my grandchildren."
