On June 24, the tournament organizing committee announced the participating countries based on the women's world golf rankings. The countries and players were determined by the combined world ranking points of each nation's top four players. The United States (34 points) will participate as the top-ranked team, followed by South Korea (53 points), Japan (57 points), Thailand (88 points), Sweden (115 points), Australia (128 points), and China (256 points). The final list of players will be confirmed on August 4, after the world rankings are updated following the conclusion of the LPGA Tour AIG Women's Open.
Each of the seven countries will field four players, and an additional World Team of four players will be selected. Lydia Ko (New Zealand) and Brooke Henderson (Canada) are almost certain to join the World Team. The Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown began in 2014 and has been held every two years since. South Korea won the tournament in 2018. This year's event will take place from October 23 to 26 at New Korea Country Club in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
