This survey, which will begin in July, is a proactive measure to detect and prevent major geriatric diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and dementia at an early stage. The initiative aims to establish systematic support so that local seniors can enjoy a healthy and stable later life.

The Gapyeong County Public Health Center's Visit Health Care Team, comprised of visiting nurses, dementia case managers, and public health officials, will visit the homes of seniors directly. The main survey items include blood pressure and blood sugar measurement, a health interview (covering diet, oral health, smoking and drinking habits, and more), and dementia screening tests.

In particular, this survey goes beyond simple health measurements and will expand into customized care services according to the severity of each condition, including health education, dietary improvement guidance, and connection to welfare and long-term care services. Through this, the county plans to establish an integrated health management system that encompasses prevention, treatment, and welfare.

Governor Seo Taewon stated, "This comprehensive health survey is an important starting point for improving the quality of life for seniors in Gapyeong," adding, "We will strive to create a community where seniors can live healthily and happily in their own neighborhoods."

The county plans to systematically analyze the health data of seniors based on the survey results and to gradually establish more precise and sustainable public health policies.
