Applications Accepted Until July 31
Gangdong-gu, Seoul, is launching a new project this year to prevent crime victimization among vulnerable groups in residential safety by providing the 'Safe Home Set 3-piece kit (door opening sensor, window lock, and front door safety device).' Applications will be accepted until July 31.
The support is available to households that include socially vulnerable individuals?such as women, children, adolescents, seniors (aged 70 or older), persons with disabilities, foreigners, and multicultural families?residing in non-apartment housing (such as row houses, multiplex housing, and multi-family homes). However, the property must have a jeonse conversion value (based on the jeonse deposit) and a housing value of 250 million won or less.
Residents wishing to apply should refer to the announcement posted on the Gangdong-gu Office website, complete the application form, and submit it along with the required documents either in person at the district office or via email to the designated official.
The district plans to provide the Safe Home Set to a total of 57 households. If the number of applicants exceeds the available sets, priority will be given to households with a history of residential intrusion crimes and those living in low-rise (first floor or semi-basement) housing.
Shin Eunok, head of the Gangdong-gu Family Policy Division, stated, "We aim to provide effective support so that socially vulnerable groups who are at higher risk of crime can live in a safer environment," adding, "We hope for the interest and active participation of many residents."
