This issue paper provides an in-depth analysis of the process by which the Lee Jaemyung administration, which was launched without a Presidential Transition Committee, established its national tasks and key policy directions. It also examines the impact that government policies over the next five years are expected to have on the corporate management environment.

The institute emphasized that, because national tasks reflect the government's philosophy and policy priorities and serve as the baseline for ministry-level policy implementation plans, budget allocation, and legislative activities, it is essential for companies to establish proactive and systematic response strategies.
Trends expected in national tasks include: fostering strategic industries centered on advanced sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors; supporting youth and improving labor market structures; strengthening a fair economy through corporate governance reform; and restoring inter-Korean communication channels and reinforcing economic security diplomacy. The paper also presents key implications for major industries such as digital·ICT, manufacturing, finance, platforms, and biohealth.
The institute stated, "Even in a highly volatile policy environment, companies can manage policy risks and seize new opportunities by thoroughly analyzing the direction of national tasks and establishing swift response strategies."
