Discussion of Agricultural Product Distribution Strategies and Sharing of Best Practices
Miryang City, Gyeongnam held the "2025 Miryang City Agricultural Products Distribution Win-Win Council" in the small conference room at City Hall, with 20 committee members in attendance.
The meeting, which took place on June 23, was convened to diagnose issues arising in the distribution process of local agricultural products and to develop effective improvement measures and policy alternatives. In addition, detailed explanations were provided regarding the 2026 agricultural products distribution support project, and participants agreed to continue advance preparations and ongoing consultations related to the project.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues such as the structure of intermediary distribution margins, inefficiencies in the logistics system, and factors contributing to decreased consumer trust. Suggestions included introducing smart logistics systems, establishing cooperative models to shorten distribution channels, and developing strategies to revitalize distribution in connection with government policies.
They also shared the case of Muan Nonghyup's selection for the agricultural products production and distribution center project, and discussed practical directions to improve distribution efficiency and increase farm income.
Mayor Ahn Byunggu stated, "Through this meeting, we have established opinions to build a win-win distribution system through public-private cooperation. It was a meaningful occasion to seek practical alternatives to strengthen the distribution competitiveness of local agricultural products and increase farm income," adding, "We will continue to actively support improvements in agricultural product distribution going forward."
