The Pattaya branch will serve as an integrated platform for Korean language education and the spread of Hallyu, providing study abroad counseling and offering Korean language and culture education to local students and the general public.
In particular, on the day of the opening ceremony, Mokwon University held a meeting with Pattaya City and finalized the schedule for the "2nd Korean Language Camp" and a "Cultural Arts Performance," both to be held in January next year.
The cultural arts performance will be held at Pattaya Beach and the main stadium for local residents and tourists. During the event, Mokwon University will also conduct university promotions and exhibitions.
At the meeting, Pattaya City pledged to actively support future collaborative activities between Mokwon University and the local community, taking the opening of the Pattaya branch as an opportunity.
President Lee Heehak stated, "The opening of the Pattaya branch is significant in that it establishes a hub for the spread of Hallyu and cultural missions in Southeast Asia," adding, "Mokwon University will continue to carry out various activities to promote the Korean language and culture."
