Kim stated, "The distribution and use of digital devices such as personal PCs, laptops, and smartphones have become part of daily life, and the replacement cycle is getting shorter. However, concerns about personal information leaks during the disposal of digital devices containing personal data are inevitably increasing." She added, "This ordinance was established to physically destroy personal information stored on digital devices and thereby alleviate residents' concerns."

This ordinance includes provisions on: ▲ personal information protection projects (such as data destruction support) ▲ the duties of the district mayor ▲ education and promotion related to personal information protection.

Kim said, "Through this ordinance, I hope to raise residents' awareness of information protection and create an environment where residents can safely live, knowing that their valuable personal information is protected."
