Yoon Changryeol appointed as Chief of Government Policy Coordination
On June 23, President Lee Jaemyung nominated candidates for ministers of 11 government ministries, including Ahn Kyubaek as the candidate for Minister of National Defense. He also appointed the Chief of the Office for Government Policy Coordination under the Prime Minister's Office.
Kang Hunsik, Chief Presidential Secretary, held a briefing that day and announced the list of ministerial candidates for the 11 ministries. President Lee nominated Cho Hyun as the candidate for Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chung Dongyoung for Minister of Unification, Kim Sunghwan for Minister of Environment, and Bae Kyunghoon for Minister of Science and ICT, among others.
Additionally, Kim Younghoon was nominated as the candidate for Minister of Employment and Labor, and Kwon Oeul as the candidate for Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. Kang Sunwoo was nominated as the candidate for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, Jeon Jaesu for Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, and Han Sungsook for Minister of SMEs and Startups.
Song Miryung will remain as Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The position of Chief of the Office for Government Policy Coordination will be assumed by Yoon Changryeol, former Protocol Secretary to the Prime Minister.
