The Korean Science Journalists Association (President Eunjeong Lee) and the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (President Seonju Jeong) announced on June 23 that they had signed a business agreement on June 23 (Monday) to cooperate in order to raise public awareness of the achievements in life science research and development in South Korea.

The two organizations will jointly promote programs for field coverage of scientific research presentations, including academic conferences; disseminate and publicize achievements in life science research and development; facilitate exchanges and communication between the media and scientists in the field of life sciences; support the hosting and participation of events, including expert recommendations; and provide research and development information and materials from life science experts, as well as offer advisory support for media coverage.
Seonju Jeong, President of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology, expressed expectations that "this agreement will serve as an important opportunity to deliver life science research achievements and related events to the public more accurately and effectively."
Eunjeong Lee, President of the Korean Science Journalists Association, explained, "We will ensure that reporters and field researchers in the life sciences can closely interact and collaborate to raise awareness of the need for research and development in the life sciences and to enhance public understanding."
