Idus Surpasses 100,000 Regular Subscribers for 'd+ Membership'

Driving Over 30% of Total Sales

Backpacker announced on June 23 that the number of regular subscribers to 'd+ Membership', the paid subscription service of the handmade commerce platform Idus, has surpassed 100,000 just one year after its launch.

Launched in June last year, the d+ Membership offers monthly benefits such as up to 10% additional discounts on Idus special exhibition products, a 4,000 won Idus discount coupon, and a 20% discount coupon for Tenbyten. Since its launch, the service has maintained a monthly average new subscription rate of 20%, reaching a cumulative total of 100,000 paid subscribers within a year.

Backpacker explained that d+ Membership members show a monthly average visit rate of 92% and a purchase conversion rate of 63%, both significantly higher than the overall averages. The company also stated that these members contributed to more than 30% of Idus's total sales last year.

In addition, Idus is returning half of the d+ Membership revenue to support the promotion of intangible heritage transmission and the development of the craft industry.

Kim Donghwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, "The d+ Membership is more than just a set of benefits; it serves as a bridge for growth between customers and creators and plays an important role in spreading the value of traditional crafts." He added, "We will continue to strive to make it easier for more customers to access new works and cultural values."
