According to Namwon City Public Health Center on June 23, "O-Un-Wan" is a program designed to reduce obesity rates and encourage healthy physical activity through high-intensity exercises such as Zumba dance and Pilates.
This program is open to local residents aged 19 to 64, and recruitment will continue until all spots are filled. Residents who wish to participate can visit the Health Promotion Center at the public health center to undergo a body composition test. Those who meet the body fat percentage criteria (25% or higher for men, 30% or higher for women) will be eligible to join the program.
The program will run for two months, in July and August, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be held in the Qigong Exercise Room on the second floor of the public health center. For more information, residents can visit the Health Promotion Center or contact the center by phone.
An official from the public health center stated, "We expect participants to regain vitality and further improve their physical fitness through high-intensity exercise," adding, "We hope to continue helping many residents maintain a healthy daily life in the future."
