About 20 Participants Including Employees and Jaseng Volunteer Group
Haeundae Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital held a "Love Mulkimchi Delivery Ceremony" for families with disabilities on June 19.
According to Jaseng Medical Foundation on June 23, a total of about 20 people participated in the event, including employees of Haeundae Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, members of the Jaseng Volunteer Group, and the head of the Haeundae District Volunteer Center. The event was organized to support healthy eating habits for families with disabilities in the Busan area and to promote neighborly love.
The participants made 100 boxes of mulkimchi themselves at the "Cheongsapo Sarangchae Shared Kitchen," which was supported by Haeundae District Office in Busan. The mulkimchi was then delivered along with rice cakes to 50 households of families with disabilities in Busan through the Busan branch of the Korea Disabled Consumers Association and the Korea Senior Welfare Association.
Kim Sangdon, Director of Haeundae Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, said, "This event was a meaningful activity that provided practical support to families with disabilities in the local community," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in practicing sustainable sharing."
Meanwhile, Jaseng Medical Foundation and Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital have continued to support vulnerable groups every year based on the management philosophy of "Geungyuljisim" (a compassionate heart to help those in need). In particular, during the "14th Love Kimjang Kimchi Sharing Event" held last winter, they delivered 1,500 kg of kimjang kimchi to the Korea Association of Disabled Artisans, the Seoul Association of the Visually Impaired, and the Gyeonggi-do Association of the Visually Impaired.
