On June 23, Gwangju City announced that it is recruiting companies to participate in the 'Second Half Workplace Adaptation Support Program' until July 18, with the aim of fostering a youth-friendly workplace culture and supporting young new employees in adapting to their jobs.

The 'Workplace Adaptation Support Program' is designed to encourage long-term retention and promote organizational culture improvement by providing workplace adaptation training to both managers and young new employees at local small and medium-sized enterprises, including those located in industrial complexes.

The program consists of 'Youth-Friendly Organizational Culture Training' for company managers and 'Workplace Adaptation Support Training' for young new employees. If there are 10 or more participants, training is conducted on-site at the company. If there are fewer participants, a mixed training format is used, where several companies participate together.

The training covers topics such as strengthening managers' leadership and organizational management, improving new employees' organizational adaptation skills, enhancing communication skills, and healing programs. Companies are free to select the subjects they wish to offer. All participants receive a kit containing items useful for workplace life.

Eligible participants include priority support companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in Gwangju. Any manager or young new employee aged 15 to 39 who has joined the company within the past three years may participate in the training.

Applications can be submitted by sending the required documents via email to the Gwangju Employers Federation. The training will take place from August to October. For more information, visit the websites of Gwangju City or the Gwangju Employers Federation, which is the program's operating agency.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the year, the Workplace Adaptation Support Program received a strong response, with over 1,700 young new employees and managers from more than 40 companies in Gwangju participating in the training.

Kwon Yoonsook, Director of Youth Policy, stated, "The Workplace Adaptation Support Program will help prevent early turnover among young new employees and promote long-term retention, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of local companies. We look forward to the active participation of local businesses."
