Psy's New Girl Group to Delete Problematic Scenes Following Sexual Objectification Controversy

Psy's New Girl Group to Delete Problematic Scenes Following Sexual Objectification Controversy Baby Dont Cry_F Girl_Music Video Teaser Video. P NATION

P NATION, led by singer Psy, has decided to remove problematic scenes from the teaser video for its new girl group Baby DONT Cry's music video after the teaser became embroiled in controversy over sexual objectification.

Baby DONT Cry is a group composed of members born between 2006 and 2008. Criticism arose that the title of their debut track "F Girl," along with cherry-related scenes in the teaser video, depicted minors as sexual objects.

On June 23, P NATION stated, "We sincerely apologize to anyone who may have felt discomfort or concern due to the teaser video."

The agency explained, "'F Girl' carries the message of asking others to see me as I am, rather than evaluating me based on someone else's standards, like the A~F grading scale." They added that the opening scene of the teaser was intended to create a rebellious and playful atmosphere through expressions such as 'chewing gum' and 'holding candy in the mouth.'

Regarding the cherries, the agency clarified, "We selected them as a symbol simply because their small but vivid color matches the group's concept, and we had no intention of conveying any negative meaning."

P NATION announced, "To prevent misunderstandings and controversy, we have decided to delete the relevant scenes from the full music video."
