Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) announced on June 23 that it will hold the "40th Anniversary of Urban Railway Opening Citizen Appreciation Concert" at 7:00 p.m. on July 18 at the Grand Theater of the Busan Citizens' Hall to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of Urban Railway Line 1.

This concert is an event to look back on the 40-year journey of the urban railway, which has served as the main means of transportation for citizens since the opening of Line 1 on July 19, 1985, and to express gratitude for the support of the citizens. The event will feature a commemorative video, congratulatory messages, and a special performance by the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra.

Attendance will be determined by a lottery among those who apply in advance. Applications can be submitted from June 23 to July 10, and details on how to apply can be found on the Busan Transportation Corporation website or on posters in subway stations.

Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "The Busan Urban Railway has been a companion to the city, walking alongside citizens for the past 40 years." He added, "I hope this concert will be an opportunity to express our gratitude to citizens and serve as a new starting point toward the next 100 years." He continued, "We will continue to realize the values of sharing and coexistence through various programs in partnership with the local community."
