Seocho Global Employment Mentoring Concert
to Be Held on the 25th
Seocho District in Seoul will host the "2025 Seocho Global Employment Mentoring Concert" for young people aspiring to work at global companies. The event will be held on June 25 in the main auditorium on the second floor of the district office.
This employment concert is designed to provide young people who wish to build their careers on the global stage with a wide range of content and useful information related to overseas employment. Starting at 5 p.m., the event will feature a briefing session on overseas employment by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, a special employment lecture, a 2:2 public mock interview, and "small group mentoring" sessions with current and former employees of global companies. The program will continue until 9 p.m.
Among the various programs, the "small group mentoring" session will feature 22 current and former employees from leading global companies such as Nike and Kakao, who will share their extensive work experience with young participants. Not only will renowned global companies such as Amazon and Microsoft take part, but major Korean global companies like SK hynix and Kakao will also participate.
Participating young people will be divided into 22 small groups and will have the opportunity to receive in-depth mentoring with each mentor for 25 minutes in three separate sessions. Through this, participants are expected to gain concrete job search strategies, including company-specific hiring information, job-specific required competencies, and practical work experience.
The "2025 Seocho Global Employment Mentoring Concert" is open to all Seocho District residents or active youth between the ages of 19 and 39 who wish to work at global companies. Applications can be submitted via a Google Form on the Seocho District Office website.
Meanwhile, the district is also operating various programs to strengthen the job competencies of young job seekers in the IT field, such as "Seocho AI College," "4th Industrial Revolution Software Course," and "Seocho Hackademy Cybersecurity Training." In addition, the district supports youth employment through a variety of career support programs, including the "Seocho e-Sports Academy," "1:1 Employment Consulting" and the "Employment Practice Project" for practical self-introduction and interview preparation, "Overseas Employment Specialized Training" to enhance overseas employment capabilities, and the "International Organization Career Briefing," among others.
Seocho District Mayor Jeon Sungsoo said, "I hope this 'Global Employment Mentoring Concert' will serve as a valuable stepping stone for Seocho District youth to realize their dreams on the world stage," adding, "We will continue to do our best to strengthen youth employment capabilities and provide tailored support in the future."
