Gyeonggi Youth Climate Envoy Group to Dispatch 200 Members to Five Countries Including Mongolia for Climate Crisis Response Activities

Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 200 members for the 'Gyeonggi Youth Climate Envoy Group' until July 8, 2025.


The Gyeonggi Youth Climate Envoy Group will participate in volunteer activities to address the climate gap, an issue emphasized by Governor Kim Dongyeon, who refers to himself as the 'Climate Governor.' These activities include tree planting, forest maintenance, environmental education, and other initiatives to respond to the climate crisis.


Gyeonggi Province plans to dispatch 120 envoys to three countries?Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and the Philippines?in August 2025, and 80 envoys to two countries?Cambodia and Laos?in October 2025.


All expenses related to the volunteer activities, including airfare and accommodation, will be fully covered for participants.

Applicants must be young people aged 19 to 39 who are registered residents of Gyeonggi Province, have no issues obtaining a visa, and are able to participate in overseas volunteer activities.


Applications can be submitted via the Jobaba Apply website (apply.jobaba.net).


Gyeonggi Province will conduct document screening and interviews for applicants and announce the successful candidates on July 21, 2025.


Successful applicants will complete orientation training and develop team-based local activity plans before being dispatched for three weeks of on-site volunteer work.


Kim Sungwon, Director of International Cooperation Policy at Gyeonggi Province, said, "This is a great opportunity for Gyeonggi youth to grow through overseas volunteering and climate action, and I hope many passionate young people in the province will take on the challenge."
