11 Leading Korean Innovative Companies Join
Advanced Solutions Including Robot Actuators
KOTRA Supports Korean Robotics and Automation Firms
KOTRA and the Korea Association of Robot Industry are taking on the challenge of expanding into the European market in the smart automation and robotics sectors.
KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency), together with the Korea Association of Robot Industry, will operate the Korea Pavilion at the '2025 Germany Munich Automation Exhibition,' the largest smart automation and robotics exhibition in Europe, which will be held from June 24 to 27 in Munich, Germany. They will be joined by 11 leading Korean innovative companies as they seek to enter the European market.
The exhibition, held every two years, is a flagship event for the global automation and robotics industry. This year, more than 650 companies are expected to participate, and over 40,000 global experts and buyers are anticipated to attend. In particular, this year's exhibition will focus on the themes of digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable production, and the future of work, highlighting the transformative impact of robotics and smart automation technologies across industry and society.
The Korea Pavilion will showcase a wide range of innovative products optimized for European manufacturing sites, including force-torque sensors, actuators, and robot safety diagnostic solutions. Participating companies will present their flagship products and seek collaboration opportunities with buyers from various local industries such as automotive, electronics, logistics, and healthcare.

Munich, Germany, the venue of the exhibition, is a strategic hub for innovation in the European automation and robotics industry, boasting a world-class research and industrial ecosystem such as the 'Bavarian Innovation Cluster.' Recently, the German automation industry has experienced a temporary decline in demand due to economic slowdown and increased dependence on the automotive sector. However, structural growth drivers remain strong, including digital transformation to address an aging population and labor shortages, as well as the expansion of eco-friendly production. In addition, the new German government is swiftly promoting increased investment, regulatory improvements, and European innovation scale-up policies to restore industrial competitiveness, raising expectations for expanded Korea-Europe cooperation.
Kim Hyuncheol, Head of KOTRA's Europe Headquarters, stated, "This exhibition serves as a barometer for the future industry, with a wide array of advanced technologies such as AI-based robots, energy-efficient production, and smart safety and connectivity solutions being unveiled. We plan to actively support Korean robotics and automation companies so they can successfully enter the European supply chain based on their technological capabilities and competitiveness."
