Hanam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyunjae) announced on the 21st that it had held the "Visiting Corporate Difficulty Consultation and Support Project Briefing" at the Misa Centum Biz Knowledge Industry Center on the 20th, engaging in communication with local businesses.

This briefing was organized to hear about the challenges faced by companies directly on site and to reflect them in municipal administration, amid concerns over a prolonged economic downturn, such as the Bank of Korea's downward revision of the economic growth rate.

More than 40 businesspeople attended the event, including Lee Hyunjae, mayor of Hanam, Ji Deukho, president of the Misa Centum Biz Management Association, and Kim Seunghyun, president of the Hanam City Entrepreneurs Association. Representatives from related organizations such as the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator, and Gyeonggi Technopark were also present.

Misa Centum Biz, established in 2018, is a knowledge industry center that houses more than 500 companies in various fields, including manufacturing, information and communications, and knowledge industries, serving as the backbone of Hanam's economy.

During the briefing, Hanam City and related organizations introduced various business support programs, including SME development funds, startup support, and technical assistance. In the subsequent Q&A session, resident businesspeople freely shared their management difficulties and suggestions, leading to active communication.

Notably, Mayor Lee Hyunjae attended the entire briefing in person, listening attentively to the voices of businesspeople. Regarding the traffic congestion at the Hwangsan Intersection access road, he presented various solutions and led concrete discussions. He also provided a detailed explanation of the standards and procedures for negotiated contracts in response to requests for prioritizing the purchase of local products when buying SME goods.

Mayor Lee stated, "The prosperity of businesses is the path to a brighter future for Hanam," adding, "We are supporting the growth of existing companies centered on the newly established Investment Promotion Division, and reorganizing the business support portal to build a one-stop support system."

He further emphasized, "We will continue to listen to the voices of businesspeople and create a business-friendly environment through cooperation with the central government and related organizations."
