This awards ceremony was organized as Namyangju City, which has recently begun in earnest the creation of an AI-based Cloud Valley within the Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex through a business agreement with Kakao Group, seeks not only the city's physical growth but also the qualitative improvement of community spirit and residential culture.
Namyangju City restructured its existing 'Imagination Beyond Model and Win-Win Management Complex Selection' project this year as part of the 'Dasan Jeong Yakyong Branding Project,' and changed the name to 'Dasan Jeong Yakyong Model and Win-Win Management Complex Selection.' Accordingly, two complexes that practiced Dasan Jeong Yakyong's core values of integrity, compassion for the people, community, and frugality were selected and awarded.
Approximately 200 people attended the event, including Mayor Joo Kwangdeok, residents of apartment complexes, and management representatives. In addition to the awards ceremony, fire safety and crime prevention training sessions were also held, contributing to strengthening safety management capabilities in multi-family housing.
Previously, in February, the city announced the program to apartment complexes subject to mandatory management within the jurisdiction and accepted applications until May 23. After document and on-site evaluations, The Hill Fore 4th Complex (less than 500 households) and Dasan Bando Ubora Maple Town Apartment (more than 1,000 households) were finally selected.
The selected complexes stood out for the active cooperation and dedicated efforts of their residents' representative councils and management office staff. The city awarded a model management certification plaque to each complex and presented a certificate of commendation to individuals who contributed to the development of the complexes.
The Hill Fore 4th Complex was highly evaluated for its efforts in recycling and energy conservation, such as installing dedicated paper pack collection bins, holding used clothing sharing events for residents, installing high-efficiency LED lights, and organizing Earth Day lights-off events. The complex also actively promoted community activities, including providing Dasan Jeong Yakyong books in the small library and holding a Dasan Jeong Yakyong book report contest.
Dasan Bando Ubora Maple Town Apartment made notable efforts for environmental preservation by providing window cleaning device rentals, offering tool rental services, setting up a book sharing corner for residents, donating proceeds from a Beautiful Store goods donation campaign, and installing collection bins for used batteries and small electronics. The complex was also recognized for actively promoting the modern succession of Dasan spirit by organizing events such as the 'Knowing Dasan Jeong Yakyong' mission challenge.
Mayor Joo Kwangdeok emphasized, "The growth of a city is not achieved by buildings or infrastructure alone. A culture of respecting the community and living together is the true strength of a sustainable city."
He added, "We will strive to ensure that these exemplary cases of apartment management are widely spread to all apartment complexes in Namyangju City, so that the city can further develop into a livable city that carries on the spirit of Dasan Jeong Yakyong."
