Chungnam TP Holds Secondary Battery Industry Strategy Forum The '2025 Chungnam Secondary Battery Industry Strategy Forum' held on the 19th at the RGB Hall of the Chungnam TP Display Innovation Process Center. /Chungnam TP

Chungnam Technopark announced on the 20th that it held the '2025 Chungnam Secondary Battery Industry Strategy Forum' at the RGB Hall of the Chungnam TP Display Innovation Process Center on the 19th.


This forum was organized to explore industrial strategies in response to the rapidly changing global secondary battery industry environment and technological innovation, and to discuss ways to establish a sustainable secondary battery industry ecosystem in the Chungnam region.


Approximately 80 participants from industry, academia, research institutes, and government attended the event, which featured a variety of programs including a special lecture on technology trends, policy introductions, sharing of corporate support strategies, and a panel discussion.


The main programs included: ▲Trends in battery industry technology and recent industry issues ▲Strategies for linking used batteries with the distributed energy industry ▲Introduction to patent examination support in the secondary battery sector ▲Introduction to corporate support programs ▲Introduction to the Chungnam RISE project ▲Current status and response strategies for the secondary battery industry in Chungnam.


During the panel discussion, Lee Jaewon, a professor at Dankook University, served as moderator. Participants included Choi Jongseo, Executive Director of the Korea Battery Industry Association; Lee Jeongdu, Secondary Battery PD at the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology; Lim Byungcheol, Head of the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency Center; and Lee Soonchang, Director of NanoGenesis. The panel discussed response strategies for Chungnam's secondary battery industry, ecosystem development and ways to connect technology and policy, and solutions to entry barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises.


Cha Namgu, Head of the Advanced Industry Division at Chungnam TP, said, "Through this forum, we hope to further solidify the strengths of Chungnam's secondary battery industry and to develop practical cooperation strategies involving both central and local governments, as well as the public and private sectors."
