According to Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters on June 20, this inspection is being carried out to prevent safety accidents that may occur during the transport of hazardous materials and to check the safety management status of transport vehicles, with the goal of raising safety awareness among transport workers.

The main inspection items include: ▲ verification of the transporter's qualification and completion of safety training ▲ compliance with hazardous materials transport standards ▲ attachment of hazardous materials signage on the exterior of vehicles ▲ provision of portable fire extinguishers, among others.

Lee Osook, head of Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters, stated, "Hazardous materials transport vehicles can become the starting point of major disasters even in everyday traffic situations, so thorough safety management is more important than anything else." She added, "Through these street inspections, we will proactively eliminate potential risks on the road and do our utmost to protect the lives and property of residents."

She continued, "I urge both transport workers and business owners to share a sense of safety awareness and to strictly comply with relevant laws and safety regulations."
