Hyundai Construction unveiled its sleep environment control solution, "Hey Sleep," on June 20, utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The goal is to create a personalized sleep environment by learning users' sleep patterns and taking into account individual lifestyle habits and biological rhythms. The system integrates and controls various environmental factors, including lighting, humidity, ventilation, and sound insulation.
The solution provides meditation content to help users relax before sleep, as well as sleep-inducing music and breathing programs. Upon waking, it plays positive messages or famous quotes. If frequent tossing and turning or abnormal patterns are detected during sleep, the system analyzes these and automatically adjusts humidity or ventilation settings for the relevant time period. The accumulated data is provided as personalized reports for each user.
Hyundai Construction Sleep Care System HeySleep Receives Good Sleep Mark Gold Certification. Provided by Hyundai Construction
This solution is the first in Korea to receive the Good Sleep Mark Gold certification for sleep environment quality. This is an official certification operated by the Korea Sleep Industry Association, which is authorized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Gold is the highest grade, and according to the company, the solution was recognized for its technological excellence in originality, effectiveness, spatial applicability, and user experience. It is significant in that, rather than a single product, it is the first case of designing an entire residential space, implementing a sleep environment system on a spatial unit basis.
The company has signed an agreement with the sleep technology specialist A-Sleep to develop a sleep monitoring system and environmental control algorithms. Hyundai Construction has filed two patents related to sleep environment technology and plans to conduct clinical research at its own technical research institute and in partnership with specialized hospitals. A Hyundai Construction representative stated, "We will further expand 'Care Living,' a residential space designed for health, by proposing 'Hey Sleep' as a specialized technology for major projects including Apgujeong District 2."
