Gochang County: "Please Use the Temporary Terminal for Rural and Intercity Buses"

Starting July 7, passengers using Gochang County rural buses, express buses, and intercity buses will be required to use the temporary terminal.

According to the county on June 20, as the 'Gochang Terminal Urban Regeneration Innovation District' project is set to begin in earnest, the Gochang Terminal will be relocated to a temporary terminal and operated there starting July 7.

The temporary terminal, located between Mokhwa Wedding Hall and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart in Gochang-eup, is currently undergoing final construction for vehicle waiting areas, a temporary ticket office, and a waiting room.

At the same time, demolition work on the current terminal will begin. In line with the operation of the temporary terminal, a demolition plan for the terminal ticket office building is also being prepared. A screen will be installed to minimize dust and noise damage during the demolition of the commercial buildings behind the terminal.

The county plans to minimize inconvenience to residents by promoting the temporary terminal relocation in advance through rural bus advertisements and guidance visits to towns and villages by the public design team.

County Governor Shim Deokseop said, "We expect the successful completion of the Gochang Terminal Innovation District project will revitalize the center of the county and create a new landmark for Gochang County."
