The quiz consisted of three stages: OX (true or false), multiple choice, and short answer questions. The questions covered topics such as shipbuilding safety rules, traffic regulations, and Korean culture and general knowledge. The final winner was Ramozhon, a 27-year-old from Uzbekistan, who received the "Safety Leader Award" and prizes worth 1 million won.
A Hanwha Ocean representative said, "We hope that this participatory event, tailored to the perspectives of our foreign colleagues, will encourage them to take a more active interest in safety and put it into practice."
Hanwha Ocean added that it continues its efforts to establish a safety culture by providing multilingual safety guidebooks for foreign workers, producing safety signs centered on pictograms, and holding regular training sessions and meetings.
The event was also attended by Byeon Kwangyong, Mayor of Geoje; Kim Incheol, head of the Tongyeong branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor; and Jeon Sujin, chief of the Geoje Fire Station.
