Newbility Commercializes Food and Beverage Robot Delivery in Industrial Complexes via Sikkuendaejang

Hyundai Vendis Officially Introduces Robot Delivery Service
Newbility Selected as Partner Company
Expanding Service from Urban Deliveries to Industrial Sites

Newbility, a company specializing in autonomous robots, announced on June 20 that it has been selected as a partner of mobile meal voucher company Hyundai Vendis and will officially provide autonomous delivery services at LG Display's Paju site. Through this collaboration, Newbility is expanding its service area from urban deliveries to industrial sites, accelerating the commercialization of its autonomous driving technology.

The newly introduced service is integrated with Hyundai Vendis's mobile meal voucher app, Sikkuendaejang. Employees can order beverages through the Sikkuendaejang app, and Newbility's autonomous robot, Newbie, will deliver the order directly to the entrance of their office building. By utilizing Sikkuendaejang's combined delivery feature, multiple orders can be processed at once, increasing operational efficiency.

Newbie operates at speeds of up to 7.2 km/h and recognizes its surroundings using only cameras, without lidar. By applying Newbility's proprietary technology, stable autonomous driving is possible even in complex environments. Newbility has already been operating urban delivery services reliably in areas such as Songdo in Incheon, Pangyo, and Gangnam, and as of 2024, has recorded a cumulative total of over 10,000 deliveries.

A Hyundai Vendis representative stated, "After running a pilot coffee delivery service using robots at LG Display's Paju site in April, we saw a significant improvement in employee satisfaction and work efficiency. Based on these results, we decided to officially introduce the coffee delivery service and signed a formal contract with Newbility, which possesses both manufacturing and operational capabilities for robots, to ensure stable and efficient operations."

Lee Sangmin, CEO of Newbility, said, "For autonomous delivery robots to become smarter, driving experience in various environments is essential," and added, "Starting with our collaboration with Hyundai Vendis, we will expand our services so that Newbie can be active in a variety of spaces, including hospitals, nursing homes, and schools."
