On June 20, SK Shieldus announced that demand for its AI-based heating and cooling management service, "Caps Smart Heating and Cooling," is rapidly increasing ahead of the peak summer heat.

Recently, the adoption of Caps Smart Heating and Cooling has been spreading, particularly among the food service industry, retail sector, and small to medium-sized factories. As of June 2025, the cumulative number of installations this year has already risen by approximately 11.3% compared to the total for last year. In particular, there has been a continuous increase in installation inquiries from multi-store operators and unmanned store owners.

Caps Smart Heating and Cooling is a service that uses AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to automatically control indoor temperature and humidity, and efficiently manage heating and cooling systems. The AI analyzes usage patterns, space layout, and external temperature in real time to set optimal operating conditions and appropriate temperatures. It also enables customized control based on business hours or individual employee permissions.

The dedicated app allows users to monitor the indoor environment at any time and remotely control heating and cooling systems, making it efficient for stores where on-site response is difficult or for operators managing multiple locations. Although actual results may vary depending on the environment, it has been found to reduce electricity consumption by an average of about 10%.

Installation is simple and can be carried out without suspending store operations, and the system is flexible enough to work with various brands of heating and cooling units and different store environments. Convenient after-sales service is also provided through a dedicated customer center.
