The Namyangju City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairperson: Cho Seongdae) held the 5th Personnel Hearing Committee meeting on June 19 in the Standing Committee Room of the Autonomy and Administration Committee of Namyangju City Council and adopted the personnel hearing progress report on Kang Jesang, the candidate for the Director of Namyangju City Policy Research Institute.

Previously, at the 4th Personnel Hearing Committee meeting held on June 16, the committee members comprehensively verified Kang's expertise and qualifications required as director, organizational management skills, experience in financial operations, vision for operating the Policy Research Institute, research direction and strategies, understanding of Namyangju City's current challenges, and awareness of key municipal issues.

The Personnel Hearing Committee on this day was attended by Han Geunsu, Chair of the Autonomy and Administration Committee, Jeong Hyeonmi, Vice Chair, as well as committee members Lee Jeongae, Park Eunkyung, Kim Donghun, and Won Juyeong. After thorough verification and in-depth discussions, the committee members determined that the candidate was 'suitable' and passed the resolution to adopt the personnel hearing progress report.

The personnel hearing progress report adopted on this day will be reported to the chairperson in accordance with Article 14 of the Namyangju City Council Personnel Hearing Ordinance, and will subsequently be forwarded to the mayor.

Meanwhile, Kang Jesang is recognized as a leading expert in the field of public administration, with both theoretical and practical experience. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in public administration from Hanyang University and a doctorate in public administration from New York University. He has served as a professor of public administration at Kyung Hee University, policy advisory committee member at the Ministry of Personnel Management, president of the Korean Association for Public Administration, and chairperson of the Pierson Memorial Foundation at Pyeongtaek University.
