Geomam Station Royal Park City Senior Club Members' Art Exhibition Draws Attention

A meaningful exhibition is attracting attention at Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio Complex 1, located in Seo-gu, Incheon. Members of the senior club within the complex (Vice President Park Younghee) have gathered their own paintings and are holding an exhibition in the community space called the 'Trinity Lounge'.

This exhibition is the first event organized since the senior club was established in July of last year. The works are the result of about five months of effort by members who have no formal background in art, coming together to paint. Vice President Park Younghee said, "It was not easy to start, but as members gradually gathered and painted together, we created meaningful moments," adding, "Our life experiences and emotions from caring for our families are fully reflected in the artwork."

A total of 30 pieces are on display, created by six participating members. The artists range in age from the youngest at 76 to the oldest at 90, with a diverse group of seniors engaging in creative work.

Vice President Park Younghee's piece, 'Hill Where Daffodils Bloom,' captures the harmony of vibrant yellow flowers and the blue sea with Oryukdo as the backdrop. Member Kim Namwon's 'Flight' expresses dynamic vitality through dolphins powerfully leaping above the sea. The exhibition will run until June 24.

Vice President Park Younghee said, "I was deeply moved to see those who picked up a brush for the first time experience joy and a sense of accomplishment through painting," and added, "Thanks to the various community facilities within the complex, we can enjoy a happy and comfortable retirement without having to go out, which makes me feel that this is truly a 'great place to live'.

Royal Park City Prugio is enhancing communication and emotional satisfaction among residents by operating not only indoor community spaces, but also programs where various generations can interact together.
