The committee will be chaired by Honorary President Yeom Hongchul.
The university plans to prepare systematic commemorative projects so that the 100th anniversary can serve as a foundation for a new leap forward over the next 100 years, building on its past history.
National Hanbat University originated in 1927 as the Hongseong Public Industrial School, and has since evolved through Daejeon Technical High School, Daejeon Technical College, and Daejeon Industrial University to its current form.
President Oh Yongjun stated, "The 100th anniversary of our university will be an important turning point to reflect on our history and to declare a new vision for the next 100 years," adding, "Centered on the promotion committee, we will create a meaningful commemorative project in which all members of the university, alumni, and the local community can participate and share together."
