Gwangju Bukgu District will officially begin operating 'Gwangju Youth Job Station Yongbong,' a hub space designed to support youth employment and entrepreneurship. On the 19th, Bukgu District announced, "Youth Job Station Yongbong has been established on the 5th floor of the Haengbok Eoullim Center and will be operated as a youth-friendly space providing tailored employment and entrepreneurship programs, as well as job information."
Previously, the district was the only autonomous district in Gwangju to be selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Youth Growth Project, securing 700 million won in national funding. The project is being carried out with a total budget of 800 million won, including district funds. At the opening ceremony held on June 17, approximately 50 people attended, including Bukgu District Mayor Moon In, Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office Director Lee Doyoung, local politicians, and youth, to announce the operation of the space.
Youth Job Station offers customized programs tailored to the characteristics of job-seeking youth, such as career exploration, job search roadmap design, practical job competency enhancement, and career redesign. In particular, it provides specialized entrepreneurship support education according to the preparatory, initial, and growth stages of youth startups. The center operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and programs are held at the 1st, 3rd, and 5th floors of the Haengbok Eoullim Center and at the Bukgu Youth Center.
Any youth aged 15 to 39 can use the facility, and those wishing to participate can check the programs on the Bukgu Youth Center website and apply online. For inquiries, contact the Bukgu District Office Youth Future Policy Division.
