Forest House at Daeyasan Recreation Forest Named Most Popular Destination This Summer

The Forest House within the National Daeyasan Natural Recreation Forest has been named the most popular destination for this summer.

The National Natural Recreation Forest Management Office announced the results of the lottery for users of the national recreation forests during the summer peak season (July 15 to August 24) on June 19.

Prior to the lottery, the management office accepted summer peak season lottery reservation applications for the national natural recreation forests through the 'Supnadel e' platform from June 9 to 16. As a result, a total of 138,827 people applied, resulting in an average competition rate of 6.28 to 1. By facility type, the average competition rate for rooms was 7.74 to 1, while the average competition rate for camping facilities was 1.83 to 1.

The location with the highest average competition rate was Forest House No. 601 at the National Daeyasan Natural Recreation Forest in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, which recorded an average competition rate of 91.46 to 1 that day. This room appears to have gained popularity due to its advantage of being secluded from surrounding facilities, allowing for a peaceful rest. In particular, the competition rate for August 2 reached 425 to 1, the highest recorded.

Among camping facilities, Cabin No. 10 at the National Daeyasan Natural Recreation Forest had the highest average competition rate at 8.33 to 1. The site with the highest daily competition rate was Camping Deck No. 201 at Gariwangsan Natural Recreation Forest, which recorded a competition rate of 35 to 1 on August 15.

By national natural recreation forest, the highest competition rates were recorded in the following order: Muuido (26.63 to 1), Byeonsan (13.82 to 1), Daeyasan (13.64 to 1), and Yongjibong (11.31 to 1).

The lottery results can be checked on the 'Supnadel e' platform. Successful applicants must complete their payment between 10:00 a.m. on June 19 and 6:00 p.m. on June 25. If payment is not completed within this period, the winning reservation will be automatically canceled.

Any unpaid or canceled facilities can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis through 'Supnadel e' starting at 10:00 a.m. on June 26.
