Electronic Documents Provided by Over 300 Public and Private Institutions
"Contributing to Reducing Social Costs and Protecting the Environment"
On June 19, Kakao announced that it will collaborate with the National Pension Service to provide a mobile electronic document service. KakaoTalk users can now conveniently receive a variety of pension-related documents without the need for separate membership registration or installing an additional application.
Users can easily check over 70 types of electronic documents issued by the National Pension Service, such as membership details, enrollment notifications, pension payment guides, and refund notices for overpayments, via AlimTalk, regardless of time or location. When viewing electronic documents, identity verification is strengthened through the use of the Kakao certificate.
In 2023, Kakao obtained a licensed electronic document intermediary license from the Ministry of Science and ICT and officially launched the KakaoTalk electronic document service in April of last year. Currently, the service provides various bills, notifications, and notices issued by more than 300 public and private institutions, including the National Tax Service, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Military Manpower Administration, commercial banks, and insurance companies, as electronic documents via KakaoTalk.
Kim Jaeheon, leader of the Kakao Wallet Business Squad, said, "We will continue to expand the scope of the KakaoTalk electronic document service and strive to contribute to reducing social costs and protecting the environment by minimizing the production of paper documents and the postal delivery process."
Meanwhile, the KakaoTalk electronic document service was recognized for its achievements in revitalizing the industry, contributing to environmental protection, and improving administrative efficiency, and received a commendation for outstanding information and communication policy from the Minister of Science and ICT in December of last year.
