On June 19, Samsung Securities raised its target price for YG Entertainment from 90,000 won to 110,000 won, an increase of 22%.
Choi Minha, a researcher at Samsung Securities, explained the reason for the target price increase by stating, "There have been clear and visible changes, such as an increased frequency of activities and more dynamic movements among YG's artists compared to the past. At the end of May, through its official social media channels, YG Entertainment once again confirmed its awareness of the market's concerns and dissatisfaction by disclosing its activity schedule for the second half of the year, and demonstrated its commitment to overall improvement."
YG Entertainment is expected to shorten the release cycles for its artists' albums and digital singles, and to broaden its artist lineup. Currently, the company has two male and two female trainee teams. In 2026, a boy group is scheduled to debut first, followed by a four-member girl group.
YG Entertainment is expected to take an aggressive approach starting in July. BLACKPINK, which recently announced additional dates for its Asia Stadium Tour, will kick off its world tour with a concert in Korea on July 5. BABYMONSTER, which has been touring since January, will release pre-release singles in July and September, and a mini album in October. TREASURE will release a mini album on September 1 and begin a world tour in October, while WINNER has also finalized tour schedules in Korea and Japan.
Choi stated, "Reflecting the expanded activity lineup, we are raising our operating profit estimates for 2025 and 2026 by 16% and 7%, respectively. We are also adjusting the valuation timing to the second half of the year, when more significant activities are expected, and raising the target price to 110,000 won."
