Mutual Growth of Consumers and Producers...
Revitalizing the Local Economy
On June 18, Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced that its online shopping mall, Gokseong Mall, has surpassed 30,000 members, establishing itself as a central platform for shopping for local specialty products.
This achievement is seen as the result of Gokseong Mall’s continuous efforts to promote the excellence of local specialties nationwide and to realize a mutually beneficial model where both consumers and producers grow together.
Gokseong Mall has become a win-win platform by offering high-quality specialty products grown in Gokseong’s pristine natural environment to consumers at reasonable prices, while also providing local producers with a stable sales channel.
In particular, participating businesses donate a portion of their sales to local children, strengthening their sense of solidarity with the community. Through a structure in which both consumers and producers grow together, the platform is contributing to revitalizing the local economy and realizing social value.
Currently, Gokseong Mall is receiving an enthusiastic response from consumers with its “Super Deal 30%” event held every Wednesday, as well as the “Gokseong Melon In-Season 30% Special Sale” running until June 24. In addition, the platform offers a 2,000 won discount coupon for adding Gokseong Mall as a KakaoTalk friend, and up to a 1,000 won discount coupon for customers who write reviews, among other generous benefits.
A Gokseong Mall representative stated, “Surpassing 30,000 members was made possible thanks to the support of consumers for Gokseong Mall and local producers,” adding, “We will continue to promote the value of local specialty products and strive to make Gokseong Mall a platform where both consumers and producers can grow together.”
