Honam University announced on the 18th that President Sangchul Park visited DH Autoware Co., Ltd., an excellent company in the Gwangju area, as part of the Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System (RISE) project, to discuss the operation of educational programs for building a leading model of the RISE ecosystem, employment linkage, and talent development.
This visit was conducted as part of the RISE project's "Regional Excellent Company Visit Program." The Honam University delegation included President Sangchul Park, Graduate School Dean Deokmo Kim, RISE Project Group Director Jaepyeong Jeong, Deputy Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Eun-kyung Lee, Department Head of Future Mobility Jeonghwan Lee, RISE Headquarters Director Gyuhwa Kim, and Industry-Academia Cooperation Group Manager Jungho Han. From DH Autoware Co., Ltd., CEO Tae-soo Ji, Outside Director Kyungjong Song, Outside Director Jeon Choi, Executive Director Shinmyung Kang, Director Guichun Jeong, Director Jongkyu Han, Special Professor Deokmo Kim from the Gwangju Industry Convergence Institute, and Head Donggyo Oh of the Gwangju Future Car Mobility Promotion Institute attended.
At the site, participants received an introduction to DH Autoware Co., Ltd. and its key technologies, toured the company facilities, and listened to opinions regarding the industry's workforce needs and current issues. They also held in-depth discussions on developing customized educational programs through industry-academia cooperation, expanding practical field-oriented training, and strategies for employment linkage after graduation.
