Tongmyong University is launching a specialized educational program for next-generation music content creators.
The university announced that the "2025 Busan Contents Korea Lab B-CON Creation Program," titled "Digital Songwriter: Music Producer Traversing with AI," will begin on July 1, 2025.
This program is operated with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, Busan Metropolitan City, and the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency. It is a free educational course designed for local youth and aspiring creators.
The program is managed by the Department of Entertainment and Arts at Tongmyong University (headed by Professor Lee Wooyoung). The department was selected as the operating institution in recognition of its expertise and achievements in nurturing music and arts content creators in the Busan region and establishing an ecosystem governance.
The course will be held twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., running for 10 weeks from July 1 to September 4, 2025. The class will be limited to 15 participants or fewer. Those interested in participating should submit an application on the department’s website by June 26, 2025. Final participants will be selected through an online interview.
The curriculum includes entertainment planning and content distribution, practical sound production, and music video production. The program is characterized by project-based classes that combine AI music tools and digital content production technologies.
Professor Lee Wooyoung said, "This program is designed to meet the growing demand for one-person creators and AI-based content creation," adding, "We will focus on developing practical skills so that young people in Busan can build global competitiveness beyond borders and regions."
