Froebel Haengboknanugi Co., Ltd. (hereafter Froebel) announced the launch of the "Eunmul Special Edition" (hereafter Eunmul SE) to commemorate the excellence of its creative teaching tool "Eunmul," whose neuroscientific benefits have been proven through joint research with KAIST.
Eunmul is a traditional creativity teaching tool developed by considering the characteristics and developmental stages of young children, based on the world's first educational play tool invented by Friedrich Froebel. Composed of solids, planes, lines, and points, it enhances children's spontaneous expression and creative thinking, allowing them to experience joy and a sense of accomplishment through play and crafting activities.
Since February 2024, Froebel and KAIST have conducted scientific research to verify the effectiveness of Eunmul, confirming that the group of children who used Eunmul showed outstanding results in terms of concentration and creativity. It was analyzed that "open-ended play," such as Eunmul, naturally leads to the expansion of children's concepts and the activation of their imagination.
The newly released, limited-edition Eunmul SE includes Eunmul, Jun Eunmul?which helps develop aesthetic sense and fine motor skills through a combination of various materials and colors?and 40 Eunmul-themed storybooks that foster creativity, affinity for nature, imagination, and social skills.
Another key feature is that children can receive a 30-minute individual lesson with a Froebel teacher once a week for three months. Through understanding the principles of Eunmul with a specialized Froebel teacher, children can develop their thinking skills and maximize creativity and spontaneity through a variety of crafting activities.
A Froebel representative stated, "It is very meaningful that the excellence of Eunmul, Froebel's flagship teaching tool chosen by 2.5 million parents, has been scientifically validated through neuroscience," and added, "We hope that Eunmul will continue to be an excellent educational play tool and companion for children, contributing to their healthy growth."
