Run with Singer Sean... Recruiting Participants for the '2025 815 Run' '2025 815 Run' Promotional Poster. Korea Habitat

Korea Habitat, an international nonprofit organization focused on housing welfare, and singer Sean will hold the charity marathon '2025 815 Run' on August 15, Liberation Day, to improve the housing conditions of descendants of independence patriots.

This year, marking the 80th anniversary of Liberation, the event carries even greater significance. A record number of 19,450 '815 Runners' will be recruited (4,000 for the offline event and 15,450 for the virtual event). All participation fees will be used for projects to improve the housing conditions of descendants of independence patriots.

The 815 Run is a Korea Habitat campaign that commemorates the meaning of Liberation Day and expresses gratitude to those who dedicated themselves to Korea's independence. The campaign has continued for six years since 2020. So far, more than 31,000 runners have participated, and homes have been dedicated to 19 families of independence patriots' descendants. Currently, the 20th to 22nd homes are under construction.

Sean, the singer who serves as the ambassador for the 815 Run campaign, will again complete an 81.5 km marathon at dawn on Liberation Day this year. Sean encouraged many citizens to participate, saying, "The 81.5 km marathon is a letter of gratitude to the independence fighters who gave everything for our country."

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis through the 'Good Action' page on Naver Happybean, and participants can choose to join either offline or virtually. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt provided by The North Face, the official reward sponsor, along with various other rewards.

This year, a special collaboration with Naver's donation platform Happybean will offer a wide range of events, and sponsors for the 815 Run are currently being recruited. Companies can participate in the cause by donating 8.15 million won, and all sponsorship funds will be used to improve the housing conditions of families who are descendants of independence patriots.
