Shinhan Card Implements Second Half Organizational Restructuring and Personnel Appointments for Future Growth

Consolidation Centered on "Departments":
Payment R&D Team and Others Restructured
New "Team Leader (Equivalent to Department Head)" Position Introduced
"Agile Management" Emphasized

On June 18, Shinhan Card announced that it had implemented an organizational restructuring for the second half of the year, focusing on organizational renewal for sustainable future growth.


The company reorganized its structure from four groups, 20 divisions, and 81 teams to four groups, 20 divisions, and 58 departments.


The core functions of each team were consolidated and integrated around "departments" to improve operational efficiency. At the same time, the company plans to foster a performance-oriented culture by granting both responsibility and authority within the organization.


First, the "Payment R&D Team," which develops payment technology, and the "Business Planning Team," which oversees business strategy, were merged into the "Business Planning Department."


The "Customer Marketing Team" and "Future Customer Team" were combined into the "Customer Marketing Department," which will serve as the control tower for company-wide marketing strategy.


The "Customer Marketing Department" will be responsible not only for generation-specific marketing tailored to life cycles, but also for customized marketing strategies for foreign customers.


In addition, to organically manage and operate the company's entire product lineup, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards, the "Product R&D Team" and "Check/Prepaid Team" were merged into the "Product R&D Department."


The number of part organizations was reduced from 36 to 12. This was done to simplify decision-making processes and enable agile responses to internal and external business environments.


The CRM Center, Financial Center, and other units were transitioned to a direct management system under the headquarters. The goal is to improve channel efficiency in response to changes in the business environment.


Along with the organizational restructuring, personnel appointments for the second half of the year were also carried out.


First, appointments for organizational leaders were made based on performance and competency. In line with the departmental restructuring, a new position of "Team Leader (equivalent to department head)" was established from the perspective of change management. Through this, the company aims to quickly stabilize the organization and lay the foundation for nurturing future leaders to ensure stable business succession.


Additionally, the company strengthened field operations by reallocating personnel based on function and role.


A Shinhan Card official stated, "This organizational restructuring and personnel appointments are focused on strategically reorganizing our business structure for sustainable future growth," adding, "Through organizational renewal and structural improvements, we will respond quickly to the rapidly changing business environment while further strengthening our mid- to long-term competitiveness."
