Chairman Kim Seongyu: "Reconstruction and Recovery Should Now Expand to Healing"
Kim Seongyu, Chairman of Hoban Group, has been officially appointed as the civilian chairperson of the 'Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo,' which will be held in Taean, Chungnam in 2026.

Hoban Group announced on the 18th that Chairman Kim Seongyu received the appointment plaque as civilian chairperson at the '2026 Taean International Horticultural Healing Expo' success prayer event held on the 17th at Island Resom in Anmyeondo, Taean-gun, Chungnam. The event was attended by Kim Taehum, Governor of Chungnam Province, Ga Sero, Mayor of Taean-gun, over 400 local residents, and experts in the horticulture and environmental fields.
Chairman Kim plans to lead the overall operation of the expo, focusing on establishing a public-private cooperation system, linking social contribution and ESG projects, and expanding global communication. He especially intends to emphasize the connection between the expo’s theme, 'A Healthy Future Found in Nature: Horticulture and Healing,' and Hoban Group’s ESG strategy.
The expo will be held for a total of 30 days from April 25 to May 24, 2026, in the Kkotji Coastal Park area of Anmyeon-eup, Taean-gun. This marks the third international-scale horticultural and healing expo in Taean, following previous events in 2002 and 2009.
In his commemorative speech, Chairman Kim stated, "This expo is not just a simple event, but embodies the history of Taean’s reconstruction and the vision for the future healing industry," adding, "We will serve as a solid bridge between the public and private sectors."
Meanwhile, Hoban Group has been consistently engaged in various social contribution activities centered in the Chungnam region. Recently, its subsidiary Hoban Hotel and Resort held an environmental cleanup campaign at Kkotji Beach, and last year, Hoban Scholarship Foundation donated 30 million won in scholarships to Taean-gun to foster local talent.
