Establishment of a Complex Ecological Service Space
Hyundai Motor Company announced on June 18 that it will actively participate in the restoration of the ecosystem in Asan, in collaboration with Asan City and the Korea Environmental Preservation Institute.
On June 18, a completion ceremony for the "Natural Environment Restoration and Biodiversity Enhancement Project" was held in Seonjang-myeon, Asan, South Chungcheong Province, attended by Kim Ilbum, Vice President and GPO of Hyundai Motor Company, Jung Sangik, Head of Safety Planning Business Division at Hyundai Motor Company, Cho Ilgyo, Deputy Mayor of Asan City, Shin Jinsu, President of the Korea Environmental Preservation Institute, as well as more than 100 local residents and project stakeholders.
The ecological park will feature a migratory bird habitat, a bird observation area, an ecological learning center, and an ecological garden. It is planned to be established as a complex ecological service space that not only creates a habitat for migratory birds but also integrates ecological experiences and educational opportunities.
This project is part of the "Natural Environment Restoration and Biodiversity Enhancement Agreement" signed in December last year by Hyundai Motor Company, Asan City, and the Korea Environmental Preservation Institute. It is significant in that it aims to create a healthy urban ecosystem and lay the foundation for a sustainable environment for citizens and future generations by restoring damaged migratory bird habitats and establishing ecological learning spaces.
Vice President Kim stated, "Through Hyundai Continue, we are constantly considering and practicing our responsibility toward the environment and future generations," and added, "We will actively participate in a variety of social contribution activities for a better future, including biodiversity, resource circulation, and carbon neutrality."
