US Vice President: "Trump May Decide on Additional Measures to End Iran's Uranium Enrichment"

JD Vance, U.S. Vice President, Announces on X
Reviewing Possible Support Including Bunker Busters

On June 17 (local time), U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that President Donald Trump may take additional measures to end Iran's uranium enrichment. This has raised the possibility that the Trump administration could shift to a more hardline response in the future.

On X (formerly Twitter) that day, Vice President Vance said, "He (President Trump) may decide that additional actions are necessary to end Iran's uranium enrichment," adding, "That decision belongs entirely to the President."

President Trump, who returned to the United States a day earlier than scheduled from the G7 summit, is reportedly considering whether to provide key weapons, such as bunker busters, in relation to Israel's attack on Iran.

Vice President Vance dismissed Iran's claim that its uranium enrichment is for civilian purposes. He also suggested the possibility of further action, emphasizing that President Trump has consistently used U.S. military power to focus on protecting the American people.

Vice President Vance further stated, "Of course, it is right for people to be concerned about getting entangled in foreign situations after 25 years of foolish foreign policy," adding, "However, I believe the President has earned a certain degree of public trust on this issue."

He added, "Because I have seen this issue up close and personally, I am confident that he (President Trump) is only interested in using the U.S. military to achieve the objectives of the American people."

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department announced that it has established a task force (TF) to protect Americans in the Middle East. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce made this announcement during a briefing that day and once again urged Americans not to travel to Israel, Iraq, or Iran.
