President Trump held an emergency meeting with his national security team in the White House Situation Room this afternoon to discuss the current armed conflict between Israel and Iran.

President Trump, who abruptly returned to the U.S. a day earlier than scheduled from the Group of Seven (G7) summit, is focusing on military response options against Iran with his advisors in this meeting. Scenarios reportedly under discussion include directly striking Iranian nuclear facilities with U.S. forces or increasing military support for Israel to intervene in the conflict.

According to U.S. media, President Trump is also considering providing Israel with strategic weapons, such as bunker busters capable of targeting Iran's underground nuclear sites.

Until now, President Trump had emphasized diplomatic solutions, such as nuclear negotiations with Iran. However, after Iran refused to accept U.S. demands regarding the 60-day nuclear negotiation deadline proposed by President Trump in April, the situation changed rapidly. On the day after the negotiation deadline expired, Israel launched a surprise airstrike against Iran on the 13th. Since then, President Trump appears to have shifted his stance to support Israel's attack.

On his own social networking service, Truth Social, President Trump strongly pressured Iran by stating, "We know exactly where the so-called Supreme Leader is hiding," and "Our patience is running out. Surrender unconditionally!"
