On June 17, JDB Entertainment stated, "We are currently conducting a thorough fact-check regarding the recent allegations, and the individual in question has expressed his intention to resign to the company." The agency added, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern with this matter."

Previously, TenAsia reported that suspicions had been raised about an inappropriate relationship between JDB Entertainment CEO A and girl group member B. A is a married man with a wife and two children, and has appeared multiple times on the MBC variety show 'The Manager.'

On the same day, TenAsia cited multiple entertainment industry sources who stated that the two had met alone on several occasions and had been seen hugging or holding hands late at night on the street. There were also eyewitness accounts of A driving a foreign car and going on dates with B.

On social networking services (SNS), photos believed to show A and B dating on the street spread widely, further fueling the controversy.

JDB Entertainment is an agency representing well-known comedians such as Kim Junho, Kim Daehee, Yoo Minsang, Kim Jimin, Kim Minkyoung, Hong Yunhwa, Hong Ingyu, and Oh Nami.
