Pledge to Open and Utilize Human Resources and Infrastructure Mutually
Since its opening in September last year, the Sejong Joint Campus has completed the relocation of Hanbat National University, Seoul National University, Chungbuk National University, and the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management (KDIS). Chungnam National University is preparing to move in. In the sales-type campus, Gongju National University, Chungnam National University, and Korea University (Sejong) are scheduled to move in sequentially. The campus is striving to secure continuous growth momentum for Sejong City, ease overcrowding in the Seoul metropolitan area, and attract leading domestic and international universities and research institutes by providing a space for industry-academia-research collaboration.
Through this agreement, the two organizations pledged to expand exchanges, including mutual opening and utilization of human resources and infrastructure to promote entrepreneurship and economic revitalization in Sejong City. The main points of the business agreement are: ▲ cooperation on entrepreneurship programs ▲ joint regional social contribution activities ▲ co-hosting of local events ▲ promotion of exchanges through sharing of existing infrastructure, thereby establishing a foundation for mutual cooperation.
Chairman Han Seoksu stated, "Through this business agreement with the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, we will be able to further strengthen the capacity to nurture outstanding talent at the Joint Campus and enhance the cooperation system among related organizations within the industry-academia-research cluster. We will do our utmost to establish a support system for fostering future innovative talent and revitalizing the economy."
President Yoo Jongpil said, "Sejong City has the highest population growth rate in the country and a high proportion of technology-based startups, giving it significant potential as a national growth engine. By combining the excellent infrastructure of the Sejong Joint Campus with the various support programs of the Korea Startup Promotion Agency, we will work to help Sejong City grow into a leading startup hub representing the Republic of Korea."
